- Submit claims to insurance companies and government programs
- Follow up on unpaid claims
- Resolve billing and coding issues
- Maintain accurate patient billing records
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding billing questions
- Stay current with changes in insurance regulations and billing procedures
Meet billing and collections goals
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in medical billing and coding
- Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic billing systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
